Compact TV centralises the production of Vallès Oriental Televisió (VOTV)

AM’s management and audiovisual archiving system is also at work at Granollers City Hall

Compact TV, the production and audiovisual archiving system developed by Activa Multimèdia is already at work at Vallès Oriental Televisió (VOTV) in Granollers, and it centralises its production. The system is already operating from the VOTV consortium, once the Arxiu Digital Audiovisual de Granollers (ADAG) has made it available for television, and it works at Granollers City Hall too.

Compact TV centralises the production of VOTV and offers the possibility of carrying out intakes via satellite, from VTR, an online video signal and P2cameras. At Vallès Oriental Televisió ten editing stations have been set up with Natural News and a capacity of 1,700 hours of production. The formats of work are DVCPRO25, DVCAM and DVPRO25.

On the other hand, Compact TV has also enabled Granollers City Hall to digitalise its documentary holdings and create the ADAG, of the company Granollers Audiovisual. This is the first archive of municipal scope that acts as central repository for television content, whether of a historical (Granollers TV), new creation (VOTV), or radio (Ràdio 7 Vallès-Ràdio Granollers) nature, as well as for other video, audio and photographic documents. Initially, the archive has made accessible some 6,000 video and some 4,000 audio hours, which can be instantly retrieved online. It is connected to other digitalised documentaries, and it incorporates a viewing system in low resolution and indexation by key frames to facilitate the selection and the management of content by the users.
