AM presents new applications for mobile TV at the GSMA Mobile World Congress
These applications are broadcast using the DVB-H standard
Activa Multimèdia is to present interactive applications for mobile television at the GSMA Mobile World Congress. These applications are broadcast using the DVB-H standard and enable access to data associated to images – whether they be additional content or user-participation systems. Weather information content of the SAM line will also be presented – automatically-generated content that can be served through WAP portals, or SMS or MMS alert systems, in addition to the iVAC system for generation of videotapes involving virtual characters. You will find Activa Multimèdia at Booth 7E42(7) of the Mobile World Congress, to be held at the Fira de Barcelona precinct from 16th to 19th of February 2009.
The following are the interactive applications for DVB-H developed by AM:
Service Channel: Customisable information services for citizens – current news, weather, traffic or sports news) in multiscreen format.
Enhanced Football: It enhances mobile broadcast of a football match with statistics, results or goals from other matches or general soccer news.
Synchronized Advergame: An application of synchronised interactive advertising during the broadcast of a programme, advertising a product through a game.
MP3 Download: An application linked to a programme that enables the mp3 download of the song being broadcast.
Mobiles of the SAM Line
Within the SAM (Serveis Audiovisuals de Meteorologia or Audiovisual Weather Services) line, AM provides, produces and edits content for mobiles and for all types of digital means, ranging from the provision of basic data to the complete elaboration of WAP portals, SMS and MMS push services, video production, and so on.
SAM provides satellite images, isobaric maps, weather forecast maps for any place in the world, and information about beaches, ski resorts, mountain points, football stadiums, and so on. Content is generated automatically in various languages. In addition, SAM boasts the first virtual 3D weatherperson that enables an automatic customisation of forecasts.
iVAC Novelties
The iVAC technology enables the automatic generation of videos based on virtual characters. The system incorporates new facilities at the graphic editor and creates videos with animated presenters who read the information and move around naturally with an automatic lip synchronisation of great quality.
