TVC’s in-house production amounts to some 2,000 hours of broadcast time a year and is split between in-house production and associate productions: drama, entertainment, children’s programs, documentaries and new formats.
TVC has used PROA as its production management tool since the end of 2003. The software developed by Activa Multimèdia embraces all aspects of financial management: producers can track production spending against budget on a daily basis, seamlessly incorporate administrative procedures, manage program audiences and guests, and draft follow-up reports comparing different productions.
PROA also gives users an overview of all works in production and allows them to check up on the progress of each one. TVC production heads can consult production schedules and see which ones are under way. They can also directly access the company’s general production plan.
Production managers and their assistants are the ones who make the greatest use of PROA. There is no limit to the number of users who can use the system simultaneously and PROA was installed on the computers already available at TVC. Some 100 staff access the system at the network. PROA is a computer application that is wholly tailored to production requirements.
