4th One-day Conference on Service Television: Audiovisual Innovation
The evolution of technologies is fashioning a new audiovisual in which increasingly more personalised and interactive content reaches everywhere through multiple screens, and is shared in networks and communities. This new digital environment leads to the study of the role being played by such technologies, of what tools they place within our reach, and of what influence they have on television, radio and the audiovisual in general.
To reflect on the future of the audiovisual and get to know the most advanced research and innovation projects on which work is underway, Activa Multimèdia and the Catalan Broadcasting Corporation (Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals, CCMA) organise the 4th One-day Conference on Service Television, which this time focuses on Audiovisual Innovation.
During the seminar, an analysis will be conducted on the extent to which the changes experienced by society and the evolution of technologies have been influencing the audiovisual, with the development of new ways of consumption, new formats, and new distribution networks. In this changing scenario in which new avenues are constantly being opened up, Activa Multimèdia brings together the leading actors in the sector and asks them to expose how they imagine the future.
Consumers constitute now, more than ever, the centre of attention. Not only do they choose what content they want to consume, but they even adopt an active role and become journalists presenting the news with their own voice, script writers deciding on the ending of an interactive episode of fiction, or promoters of new user communities. New ways of participation open up and the wildfire effect of multiplatform distribution is not limited to mobile phones and the internet, but brings the audiovisual nearer the citizen, by entering into community spaces such as public transport or hospitals.
In this new context, the seminar will seek to explore the possibilities of innovation that present themselves to the audiovisual world, and will analyse the efforts being made, and will assess the reactions and the preferences of the public.
Attendance by invitation only.
